The widow of a Vermont man who died after eating raw milk cheese tainted with Listeria has filed a lawsuit against manufacturer Vulto Creamery, whose contaminated product also led to a death in Connecticut.

Veronica Friedman, widow of Richard Friedman, alleges wrongful death and emotional and financial damage in her suit against the Walton, N.Y. creamery, according to her attorney at Seattle-based Marler Clark LLP, a law firm that represents victims of food-born illness outbreaks.
